Reduced system costs
We have already seen a number of direct benefits, including the possibility of installing a larger number of welding power sources without having to apply for a higher capacity and more costly supply. Another indirect benefi t is the ability to improve the overall availability of the electrical supply. The use of welding equipment that draws less current helps avoid exceeding maximum permitted load, thus avoiding costly shut-downs that eat into company profi ts. Another indirect saving is the possibility of downsizing and therefore cutting the costs of all electrical distribution components (sockets, fuses, etc.).
