The electrical energy needed to power welding systems is distributed to sites over power lines which, because of the intrinsic resistance of their conductors, are subject to energy losses through heat dissipation. Because green@wave® power sources draw less current, they make a major contribution to reducing energy losses along power lines. This in turn means lower CO2 emissions. Choosing an ecological green@wave® power source is therefore a way of taking collective responsibility for the environment – a choice that should be made not only by government agencies but by companies and industry in general.
